Take the Quest, Enjoy the Journey


Do you have difficulty relaxing? Are you the type of person that feels that you must keep busy all the time? Do you find it challenging to make time to relax? I invite you to take the quest and enjoy the journey to relaxation.

Relaxation should be the simplest thing to do! When we relax, we do less - use less energy, put forth less effort and our body and mind is at ease. Relaxation gives us more energy, soothes our soul, and paves the path for more enjoyable, productive activity.

There are many ways to relax, provided you do the activity in a relaxing, easy way. There should be no goal to accomplish - the only 'goal' is relaxation. If you relax by walking or swimming, do not 'compete' with yourself. Trying to 'one up' the number of laps you swam yesterday or to walk a longer distance in a certain amount of time is defeating the whole purpose of relaxing.



Relaxing is a process. You cannot immediately go from tension, restlessness and a hectic pace to total relaxation. You must give your body and mind time to make the transition. Relaxation will happen if you allow yourself to 'simply be'.

When you arrive for your healing, leave the outside world outside! Leave thoughts of work, life issues and ego someplace else - turn off any electronic devices (such as pagers, cell phones) that may interrupt your relaxation escape.

Clear your mind of thoughts and just be - take the quest and enjoy the journey...
