The holiday season is here and along with all the shopping, socializing and family fun, comes the chaos from increased traffic on the roads, job pressures, overeating, and stress from shopping, socializing and family!

Do you know that studies at the Touch Research Institute (University of Miami) showed:

~ that high blood pressure and associated symptoms were reduced by massage therapy.

~ massage therapy reduces anxiety and enhances (EEG pattern of) alertness and math computations. Massage was also shown as a workplace intervention for reduction of stress.

~ prostatic massage was shown to increase the tPSA and fPSA levels, and the fPSA/tPSA ratio increased significantly.

~ The immediate effects of brief massage therapy, music relaxation with visual imagery, muscle relaxation, and social support group sessions were assessed in 100 hospital employees at a major public hospital. Each of the groups reported decreases in anxiety, depression, fatigue and confusion, as well as increased vigor following the sessions.
