Yin Taosim was created by a group of Taoist philosophers during the Eastern Han Dynasty (A.D. 25-220).
In case you're confused as to what is yin, and what is yang: yin is female energy, and yang is male energy. An easy way to remember which is which, "yin" sounds like "in" and female sex organs are 'in' the body, whereas "yang" sounds like "hang" and the male sex organs 'hang' outside the body.
Firmly rooted in the importance of human sexual expression, this school of Taoists wrote volume after volume of sex manuals including "Su-Nu Ching" (Manual of Lady Purity), "Yu Fang Mi Chueh" (Secret Codes of the Jade Room), the "Art of the Bedchamber" and "Yu Fang Chih Yao" (Important Guidelines of the Jade Room).
